The build up is just as exciting.

It’s time to get out of those PJ’s ladies a get your glad rags on! Try and put as much effort into the planning and execution of this party as you would for any regular hen’s night. Trust us – the effort will make it all the more fun! Pick a theme & matching outfit and the rest of the planning will follow easily. Here are a few fun themes:

  • Hawaiian lu’au – imagine you were on the beach!
  • One Night in Bangkok – tuk tuks, drag queens & curries
  • Fancy French – cheese & wine fiesta but don’t forget the beret.
  • Playboy Mansion – I secretly always wanted to be a bunny!
  • 1920’s Great Gatsby – think flapper dresses & bootleg gin.
  • Burlesque – can you can can can?!
  • Grannies – just so much silly fun. False teeth, zimmer frames & a blue rinse!
  • Rock & Roll – get rockin’ around the clock.
  • Sex & the City – we all wanted to be in the movie.
  • Little Black Dress, with the bride in white – make that lady feel special.
  • Nautical Chic – nauti & nice evening at sea.
  • Mexican Fiesta – sombreros and margaritas

5. Decorate your Room

Nothing says party like balloons & bunting! If you can’t get to the party bring the party to you. Once you have chosen your theme try to find some matching decor to create some atmosphere. Think glitter wall hangings or inflatable palm trees. Amazon.com is definitely your friend here for choice & price.

6. Eat the same Food

Nothing brings people together like food. With all the restaurants closed, it’s time to virtually share a platter. Call on all the ideas of your fellow hen’s here to help brainstorm a small menu. It doesn’t have to be crazy adventurous, but a trying to keep in theme will win bonus points. You could always cheat & order a take away from the same restaurant too! Plus donuts & cupcakes are always a winner.

  • Werewolf Live – If the bride loves & good games night this is the perfect activity. Hosted by British Comedian Jon Gracey, he will facilitate 3 games where you work together to bring freedom to your village & protect yourselves against the wolves. Think ‘wink, wink, murder’.
  • Virtual escape room
  • Pub Quiz – ask each question to contribute a round with a theme of their choice. Some can even be bespoke to the bride if you like. A fun & totally free activity!

Virtual Bachelorette Party Games

  • Mr & Mrs Quiz – ask the Groom a couple of weeks before a series of questions, for example ‘where was your first kiss?’, ‘what would the Bride say your most annoying habit is?’. It’s always good to video the Groom too so you can see his expressions! Ask the Bride the same set of questions on the night & she has to guess the Groom’s answers. This is a guaranteed hit!
  • Memories of the Bride – from all of the guests pre-prepare a list of memories of the Bride. Readout one at a time & the Bride needs to guess who’s memory it is! Cute!
  • Bridal Charades – Get a list of wedding themed films together such as ‘Bride Wars’ or ‘The Wedding Planner’. Divide the hens into teams. Each team can pick out the name of wedding film from a hat and then they have to act it out for the other team to guess.
  • Never have I Ever – the old school classic! For the more risque out there this is definitely more fun after a few drinks.
  • The Toilet Roll Wedding Gown or Veil – the much talked about toilet roll hoarding will finally become useful. A nice one to do while just sitting & catching up. Design your best version of a Wedding Gown or veil & present it to the Bride. She can pick her fave!

9. Have a Virtual Bachelorette Party Playlist

Music sets the mood for any event. Whether you want to dance all night long or go for a more chilled event, choosing the right tunes are a must. Set up a group playlist on Spotify so everyone can contribute, or search the already prepared ones for inspiration. We love the idea of having different playlists for different segments of your night, dulcet tones at the start of the night to 90’s dance at the end!

10. Laugh all Night long

This is a night with no curfew so let it get messy & don’t have an end time. Whatever you do, value this time with your girlies. Tell silly stories, giggle, laugh out loud & keep going all night. End the night in PJs together & a cup of tea!

It might be a virtual bachelorette party this time, but you will all be together soon
Till next time……….
